Like most of you, I'm sure, I won't watch movies as they appear on most TV stations - edited almost beyond recognition and endless commercial breaks. Nothing new there. Thankfully there are some channels like Showcase and Bravo (I'm in Canada, eh) that show great movies uncut and with minimal interruptions.

Then there is the othe side of the coin. One of the worst has to be TBS Superstation. Yes, being in Canada doesn't shelter me from the sugar coated, cellophane wrapped goodness that is Turner Broadcasting System, Inc (A Time Warner Company).

Who could even sit though an entire movie on this station? They're rolling the credits and you're sitting there going, "Did I just see the movie? Was that it? I thought it was still the preview. I need to go buy something right now..." And sure enough, you look at the clock and it's 3 hours later. "Maybe I fell asleep?"

Well here is a list of movies I'll even watch on TBS. Let's face it, I've seen them each a dozen times or more so I'm not really "watching" them - more like a refresher course. "That's right, Ted - just give me the main bullet points. I can fill in the rest myself."

And it's no big deal if one of these movies is on and I miss it because it will surely be playing again sometime in the next month or two. Speaking of which, what's with The Discovery Channel and "Shark Week"? They have this big teaser - "Coming next week...SHARK WEEK!" Instead, let me know when it's *not* Shark Week, OK? When it's any other type of fish week, call me. What about "Bass Week?" Now that I'd like to see.
